A new librarian came to Lane in 1934. See her photo on the right. She stayed around for quite a while.....remember
Mrs. Schumacher? She had good ears and she would catch you talking, even in a whisper!
In the new lunchroom a hot meal cost 10 cents. A hamburger was 5 cents.
